Hello Students and Parents!
It looks like there's a good chance we're not coming back to school this year. =( In light of our current situation, I want to make sure that you have the opportunity to
a) learn the rest of the curriculum and be prepared for future courses or just learn the science because it's cool =).
b) increase your grades in all 3 grading categories: Tests, Quizzes, Classwork.
So here's what I have planned for the rest of the year. Realistically, there are just 2 more chapters I'd like to complete with you all to feel like you are prepared for whatever classes you take in the future, and so I know you've completed the state requirements for Biology. Both chapters 16 and 17 information will still be found under the Unit 3: Evolution tab at the top of this page.
For Classwork EC- Under Ch. 16 and Ch. 17 Resources, There are 2 online lectures from Bozeman Science I'd want you to watch and answer questions. Each assignment can give you up to 8 points to your classwork category depending on how many questions you get right. They are titled Ch. 16 Video Review EC and Ch. 17 Video Review EC. Both need to be submitted on GoogleClassroom by May 29th for extra credit.
For Quiz EC- both Chapter 16 and Chapter 17 Quizlets are up. Same rules apply for EC here. If you forgot which games you can play for EC, scroll down =). A total of 4 pts can be earned for each completed Chapter. Again, both need to be completed by May 29th to count for EC.
For Test EC- There are 2 End of Chapter Assessments available for you to complete. They are also listed under Ch. 16 and Ch. 17 Resources, titled Ch. 16 Remote Test EC and Ch. 17 Remote Test EC. Each bullet point correct is worth 1 pt (a total of 20 pts are possible). To receive extra credit, you must print out the pdf, and then write in your answers in a different color than black. Take a photo(s) of your completed document and submit that via GoogleClassroom by May 29th.
I have purposely given you plenty of time to get this done, and I'm hoping you use your time wisely. As usual, I'm looking at your document's edit history to ensure that you did the work and did not copy and paste from a peer. I highly suggest you read through each chapter and even use your book during the test to ensure you can get all the available extra credit.
In closing, please remember this is not mandatory and cannot hurt your grade if you choose not to do any of it. It can only help your grade if you choose to do it and answer them correctly. If you are happy with your current grade, you don't have to do anything and I'm sorry you had to read through all this!
I'm available through email ([email protected]) to all of you. I will try to respond within 24hrs to help you with whatever questions you have. I'll see you all soon when this thing passes over us!
Sincerely,
Mr. Vo

Hello students!
Looks like our break has been extended. Everything that we originally talked about as far as class grades and curriculum will continue. There's only one addition that I wanted to add to help students that have grades that are doing poorly.
1. If you have any previous assignments that are missing, you can make them up for at least half credit. Please try to make these up if you can so we can help your grades!
2. Nothing I assign over this break will be graded. The only things I will be posting are suggestions for you to be prepared when we get back from this break.
3. Our test for Ch 15 was scheduled for Wednesday, March 18. That means that whenever we do return to school, we will have one day to review, then the test the following day. I'm hoping you stay up on your Ch 15 knowledge.
4. Depending on how long the break is, and depending on what classes you plan to take next year, you should study up on some of the future chapters in the Evolution Unit. Again, you would not be graded on these sections, but it'd be in your best interest to study and learn these if you plan on taking AP Biology.
5. Be safe. Although you are among the demographic that is least effected by this virus, you can be a carrier and possibly infect your loved ones that are younger and/or older than you. Wash your hands, don't touch your face, and practice social distancing.
I'm available through email ([email protected]) to all of you. I will try to respond within 24hrs to help you with whatever questions you have. I'll see you all soon when this thing passes over us!

Hello students!
These are weird times and I imagine a first for all of us. This is unprecedented and we're trying to figure out how things are going to play out. This could last as short as 2 weeks and at worst, go through the end of the school year. To reiterate a few points we went over in class....
